
Castello Vicchiomaggio only produces Extra Virgin oil, however with a significant difference to most other oils.

All our olives come from trees that are at least 100 years old and many are much older. This ensures very low yields and consequently a very good quality, far higher than that coming from machine picked olives (the majority).
Our olives are only picked by hand therefore guaranteeing a far superior quality than most other oils. Hand picking ensures that any olives with even the slightest defect are discarded immediately, this guarantees that only the most fragrant and perfect olives are used.
Our oil is very intense and fragrant, flavours that linger and last, it will enhance any dish, from a simple salad through to roasts.
